Job description:

it’s a startup company, they don’t require experiences . They are a 2023 start-up creative
development consultancy for global animated films.

what did I prepare for this role:

•self introduction:

I am currently a student studying character animation in CSM, previously study 3D animation for Bachelors, after four years of studying , I realize that i want to further expend my scope of knowledge in animation field. That’s why I chose to study 2D in masters course, during these years , i have opportunity to take part in few projects which lead me getting interested in production side of things.

• how can i get interested in production.

During various projects, i observed production process closely, and i realize that directors are overwhelmed with scheduling and coordination. for example i worked with my team on a short film for LIAF, there were some instances that we fell behind the schedule due to program and technical issues,like booking 3D studio and equipment, i realize the importance of producer.when create schedules there should be room for unforeseen circumstances and good coordination will minimize these setbacks.

•cover letter:I am Grace Xu, a passionate character animator with expertise in both 2D and 3D animation. I am soon to be graduate from Central Saint Martins in Character Animation. I have been involved in a number of short films including a short for London International Animation Festival, all of different mediums and lengths. I am looking for work in the industry of character animator or clean up/coloring artist roles.
